Brand Photoshoot – Hill Country Herb Garden

All last year I planned on showcasing brand sessions on the blog and I never got around to it. So 2023 is the year, y’all! The plan is to spotlight a brand photoshoot each month – woo hoo! Ok, let’s do this.

I have a special place in my heart for the brand photoshoots I have done in Fredericksburg, Texas. Honestly, they’re probably all my top favorite venues that I have photographed!
With that said, I am so excited to share this Client Spotlight, Hill Country Herb Garden – where they invite you to stay in one of their cozy cottages, relax at their luxury day spa, and enjoy fresh and healthy cuisines at their restaurant.

Our main goal was to photograph the newly renovated cottages, the beauty of the outdoor zen gardens, capture the relaxing atmosphere of the spa, show off the staff, and of course, photograph the most delicious dishes and drinks at the restaurant.

THE COTTAGES

Hill Country Herb Garden has 14 uniquely decorated cottages with three themes in mind: Artist’s Retreat, Nature’s Cottage, and Modern Escape. All include front porch swings, king sized beds, and mini bars.
The best part? Fresh breakfast delivered to your cottage door every morning.

THE GROUNDS

The grounds of this venue are so relaxing. Raking in the zen garden, smelling the fresh herbs as you wander around, and hearing the buzzing of bees will put anyone at peace. At this brand session, we wanted to capture just that.

THE SPA

My favorite part: The Spa. First off, this spa is incredible inside and out. You already feel relaxed once you reach the doors, but after stepping in – wow. The atmosphere inside is breathtaking.

FOOD AND DRINKS

Okay, okay, the other best part. The food and drinks! Agh! The dishes were exquisite. Beautifully set up and easy to photograph. We kept the food photography clean and classy by using their white and black dishes and had them all shot on a light cement backdrop. All drinks were photographed at the bar to really help bring them to life.

Shooting at The Hill Country Herb Garden was such a great experience. If you ever get the chance to head to Fredericksburg, definitely check it out.
